Intro to Resistors

Description

Resistors are an element of a circuit that limits the current that passes through it. They are typically used to make sure that electronic components, such as LED's, don't break due to too much current or voltage. It may be hard to see that resistors are necessary with simple circuits, such as just one LED, but even in this case without the proper resistor the LED can overheat and stop working. The resistance of a resistor is measured in Ohms (Ω) and can be found using the table and diagram below.
