What is an Arduino?

An Arduino is a microcontroller that makes it easy to create small projects that include electronics such as servos, LED's, buzzers, sensors and other electronic components. Arduino's are programmed in a simple and easy to understand IDE with a reasonably well-documented language. This ease of use combined with the relatively low price makes them a good way to get an introduction to circuits and programming.
